This treed campground affords privacy in the rural backdrop of a working bison ranch. Tents and motorhomes are both accommodated, with each site including a picnic table and fire pit. Fire wood is provided. Their is a shower house that is also equipped with outside sinks for dish washing. Camping cabins (basic shelters without heat, power or water) are also available. Wells Gray Provincial Park - Corridor + My Favorites
Leading north of Clearwater, Hwy #5 leads to the south of Well Gray Park, the most popular and easily accessed portion of the park. There are three campground here in the south, totalling 130 vehicle-accessed camping spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. Wells Gray Provincial Park - Mahood + My Favorites
This provincial campground is located on the western end of Mahood Lake. It is the only lake in the park which isn't glacier fed, meaning that the lake warms up in the summer for swimming. Despite this, the campground remains relatively quite even during high season. Not only is there a large beach, but the lake supports a large number of fishing, from Kokanee to Rainbow trout and more. Campsites are on a first come first serve basis. No reservations accepted.
